Vendr's median Onclusive contract is $13,706 a year. Ten keywords on four networks, checked hourly, is $948 a year on Social Fetch's Growth plan, about 7% of that.

Why teams switch from Onclusive.

One media-monitoring contract, or social listening built keyword by keyword and priced per check.

Only the social part, only what you need

Choose each keyword, each network and how often it checks. Keep print and broadcast where they already live and stop paying a platform price for social.

About 7% of the median contract

Ten keywords on X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram, checked hourly, is $79 a month: $948 a year. Vendr puts the median Onclusive contract at $13,706 a year.

Live search on every request

Each call searches the platform when you make it and returns the full post text and metrics in ~3.2s on average.

You set every dial

Each monitor has its own schedule, from daily down to every minute (5 on X). dryRun shows the monthly credits before it runs, and a spend cap stops it overshooting.

Data and alerts you own

Monitors POST new posts to a signed webhook: Slack, a warehouse or an agent. Every result is JSON you store, score with your own model and join to your CRM.

Start today, not after procurement

100 free credits, no card and no sales call. Pay-as-you-go credits never expire, and monthly plans lower the per-credit rate.

Never expires

Your monitoring brief, as one request.

Onclusive has no public API docs to port from, so start from the brief you already have. Each keyword in it is one search request, and the matching posts come back as JSON.

Print and broadcast lines in the brief have no Social Fetch equivalent, so keep those with a licensed provider. Swap the path for /v1/twitter/search or /v1/tiktok/search to cover the other networks. To have new posts pushed to you instead, point a Monitor at the same search.

Which one should you pick?

If your situation matches the right-hand card, Onclusive is probably the better buy — and that's fine.

Pick Social Fetch if…

  • Most of your monitoring is social, and the social part doesn't need a $13,706-a-year contract
  • You want X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram mentions checked every hour, from $79 a month
  • You want the full post text and metrics in your own warehouse, Slack or AI pipeline
  • You want to test with real data today: 100 free credits, no card, no demo
  • Engineers or AI agents read the data through the API or the MCP server
  • You'd rather run sentiment and summaries with your own model than a vendor's

Pick Onclusive if…

  • You need licensed print, TV and radio coverage. Onclusive lists 70K+ print outlets and 6K+ broadcast channels; Social Fetch has none
  • PR measurement and attribution reports that your leadership already reads
  • A journalist database for media outreach
  • Managed monitoring, where Onclusive's analysts curate coverage and write the digest for you
  • Built-in sentiment, dashboards and 24 months of social history in one login, with no code

Social Fetch vs Onclusive: common questions

Migration, billing surprises, and what changes when you add a second platform.

How much does Onclusive cost?

Onclusive doesn't publish prices; its product pages lead to a demo form. Vendr's marketplace puts the median Onclusive contract at $13,706 a year, with a range of $9,539 to $24,585 (checked 25 Sep 2026). Capterra lists Onclusive Social from €15,000 a year. Social Fetch publishes its prices: from $1.27 per 1,000 credits, with 100 free credits to start. Hourly checks on 10 keywords across X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram run on the $79/month Growth plan.

Is Onclusive Social the same as Digimind?

Yes. Onclusive bought the French social listening company Digimind in July 2022 and renamed it Onclusive Social on 29 October 2024. Onclusive says it covers Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and LinkedIn, with 24 months of history. If you're looking for a Digimind alternative, everything on this page applies.

Does Onclusive have an API?

Onclusive sells a Media API with REST, XML and RSS delivery and says it processes 28 million+ content pieces a day. Access goes through a sales form; there are no public docs, prices or rate limits, and the Onclusive Social page doesn't mention an API. Social Fetch's docs and OpenAPI spec are public, and you can call GET /v1/reddit/search from the playground before you pay anything.

Can Social Fetch replace print and broadcast monitoring?

No. Social Fetch has no licensed print, TV or radio content, and it isn't a news monitoring service. Teams that need both keep a licensed media provider for print and broadcast and move social listening to Social Fetch. For open web pages you can run GET /v1/web/search and fetch results with GET /v1/web/markdown, but that's web search, not licensed news coverage.

How do I move my Onclusive monitoring to Social Fetch?

Start from your monitoring brief. Each keyword on each network becomes one monitor: a POST to /v1/monitors with the search source, the keyword and a schedule, pointed at your webhook. Add ?dryRun=true to see the monthly credit cost before anything runs. The monitoring quickstart walks through it, including a test inbox so you don't need a public URL to start.

Which platforms can Social Fetch monitor?

Monitors watch 12 sources: TikTok profile videos, video search and top search; X profile tweets and search; Instagram posts, reels, tagged posts and hashtags; Reddit subreddit posts, subreddit search and site-wide search. Other searches, including YouTube, LinkedIn and Threads, are on demand: call them on your own schedule.

Can Social Fetch do sentiment analysis?

Not built in. Social Fetch returns the full post text and metrics, and you run sentiment and summaries with your own model: pipe the JSON into Claude or GPT through the API, or connect an agent to our MCP server. If you want sentiment scored in a dashboard with no code, Onclusive does that.

The detailed Social Fetch vs Onclusive comparisonHow Onclusive works, where the costs come from, and when to keep it.

The short version

Onclusive sells media intelligence to PR and comms teams: print, broadcast, online news and social in one platform, priced by quote. Vendr's median Onclusive contract is $13,706 a year. Social Fetch sells the social part as an API. Search the networks yourself, or let Monitors check them on a schedule and push new posts to a signed webhook. Prices are on the website, and the first 100 credits are free.

Onclusive is a media intelligence suite for PR teams

Symphony Technology Group formed Onclusive at the start of 2022 from Kantar's Reputation Intelligence business, PRgloo and the original Onclusive. It bought Critical Mention in May 2022 and the social listening company Digimind in July 2022, then renamed Digimind as Onclusive Social on 29 October 2024. Onclusive says it covers 3M+ online sources, 70K+ print outlets, 6K+ broadcast channels and 25+ social platforms.

The buyer is a PR or comms team that wants coverage, measurement and reporting in one login. Prices are not published. Vendr puts the median contract at $13,706 a year (range $9,539 to $24,585), and Capterra lists Onclusive Social from €15,000 a year.

Getting the data out

Onclusive sells a Media API with REST, XML and RSS delivery and says it processes 28 million+ content pieces a day. To get it, you fill in a demo form. There are no public docs, prices or rate limits, and the Onclusive Social product page doesn't mention an API.

Social Fetch publishes everything: docs, OpenAPI spec, credit prices. GET /v1/twitter/search, GET /v1/reddit/search, GET /v1/tiktok/search and GET /v1/instagram/search/hashtags return the full post text, author and metrics as JSON on every request. You can run the same call in the playground on your free credits. What you do with the JSON is up to you: store it, alert on it, or send it to Claude or GPT for sentiment and summaries.

Coverage gaps show up in reviews too. Reviewers on G2 say Onclusive misses some outlets and mentions, which they then add by hand.

A media-monitoring team that moved off Onclusive

One of our customers is a media-monitoring team at a UK PR agency that ran its social coverage through Onclusive on an annual contract of about $16,000. They moved their social keyword tracking to Social Fetch in under two weeks and now spend $225 a month on the Scale plan, running 120 hourly monitors across X search, Reddit search and TikTok search for 40 client keywords. They kept print and broadcast with a licensed provider.

What changed: new mentions now land in their own client dashboard through a signed webhook, and when a client adds a keyword, the team creates the monitor themselves the same day instead of raising a request.

The cost of hourly social listening

Take 10 keywords on X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram, checked hourly: 10 × 4 × 24 × 30 = 28,800 checks a month. Each check is one search call at 1 credit. That's 40 Monitors, which fits the Growth plan: $79 a month for 50,000 credits and up to 100 monitors, or $948 a year. Tighten the interval to every 15 minutes and it's 115,200 credits a month on the $225 Scale plan. Vendr's median Onclusive contract works out to about $1,142 a month.

On Instagram, a keyword is a hashtag: the source is GET /v1/instagram/search/hashtags. A check returns one page of results, so a busy keyword can need a tighter interval to avoid missing posts. Set a spendCapCredits limit on any monitor to cap its monthly cost. See Billing for monitors.

What Social Fetch doesn't cover

Social Fetch has no licensed print, TV or radio content, and it isn't a news monitoring service. If your brief includes newspaper clippings, broadcast transcripts or paywalled trade press, keep a licensed provider for that part.

For open web pages, GET /v1/web/search returns ranked results for a query (with a datePosted filter) and GET /v1/web/markdown fetches a page as clean text. That's useful for checking a blog post or a public article that mentions you. It's web search, not licensed news coverage.

Many teams split the job: a media suite for print and broadcast, Social Fetch for social. If you're weighing other suites for the licensed half, see Social Fetch vs Meltwater.

How we priced the comparison

The standard scenario: track 10 keywords on X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram, checked hourly: 10 × 4 × 24 × 30 = 28,800 checks a month. Each check is one call to GET /v1/twitter/search, GET /v1/reddit/search, GET /v1/tiktok/search or GET /v1/instagram/search/hashtags, at 1 credit each. 10 keywords on 4 sources is 40 monitors, which needs the Growth plan: up to 100 monitors and 50,000 credits for $79 a month. Checking every 15 minutes is 115,200 credits a month, which fits the Scale plan (150,000 credits, $225 a month). Onclusive publishes no prices, so the Onclusive side uses Vendr's median contract of $13,706 a year (about $1,142 a month) and Capterra's €15,000-a-year starting price for Onclusive Social.

Bottom line: Keep licensed media on contract, move social to an API

Onclusive is built for PR teams that need print, broadcast, measurement and a journalist database under one contract, and Social Fetch doesn't do any of that. For the social half of a monitoring brief, it's a lot of contract: Vendr's median is $13,706 a year, with no public prices and no public API docs. Social Fetch searches X, Reddit, TikTok and Instagram live, returns every post as JSON, and runs hourly checks on 10 keywords for $79 a month. Keep a licensed provider for print and broadcast if you need it, and move social to Social Fetch.
