Terms of Service

Last updated 5 July 2026

Agreement

Social Freak Ltd (company no. 14659411), Unit 82A, James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, IP28 7DE, UK, operates Social Fetch. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Social Fetch’s websites, APIs, dashboards, documentation, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, purchasing credits, or calling the API, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

The Services

Social Fetch provides programmatic access to publicly available social and web platform data through a unified HTTP API, along with a dashboard, documentation, and optional playground. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those platforms. The Services are a technical tool only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any particular record. Public data changes frequently and upstream platforms may change without notice.

Your account

You need an account and API credentials to use paid API features. API keys are prefixed with sfk_ and are sent in the x-api-key HTTP header. You are responsible for safeguarding your keys and for all activity under your account. You can create, name, disable, and rotate keys in the dashboard. Notify us promptly at support@socialfetch.dev if you suspect unauthorised use. You may enable two-factor authentication on your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services in violation of applicable law.
  • Use outputs to harass, surveil, discriminate against, or harm individuals or groups.
  • Send spam, manipulate platforms, or engage in deceptive or fraudulent activity.
  • Infringe intellectual property or other rights of third parties.
  • Attempt to access non-public data, bypass rate limits or technical controls, or probe our systems in ways that could harm availability or security.
  • Resell or redistribute the Services in ways that misrepresent their source, or use them to build a substantially similar competing API without our written consent.

Third-party platforms

You are responsible for compliance with third-party platform terms, your contracts with your customers, and applicable privacy, marketing, and data protection law. We do not provide legal advice on your use cases.

Availability

Third-party platforms change without notice. Endpoints may break, deprecate, or return different data. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or a contractual uptime commitment unless agreed in a separate written agreement. API responses include a requestId you can quote when reporting problems to support.

Credits, subscriptions, and payment

Paid use is metered via credits described at checkout or in your account. Each API endpoint consumes credits as documented for that endpoint. Credits included in a subscription reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. Pay-as-you-go and refill-pack credits do not expire while your account remains active.

Fees are charged through Stripe according to the prices shown when you purchase. Taxes may apply where required. Except where required by applicable law, all prepaid purchases—including subscription fees and renewals, pay-as-you-go credit packs, and automatic auto-refill charges—are non-refundable once credits or entitlements are delivered. Discretionary refunds are not guaranteed.

Auto-refill is enabled by default for subscribers and for pay-as-you-go credit pack purchases. When your balance falls below the configured threshold, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method off-session for a prepaid refill pack (your plan's tier refill pack for subscribers, or the credit pack you purchased for pay-as-you-go), up to any spend cap you have set, without further action from you. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You may disable or adjust auto-refill settings at any time in your billing account.

If an auto-refill charge fails, we may advance a limited amount of grace credits so service is not immediately interrupted. Grace credits are an advance, not a waiver of payment. They are recouped from your next successful charge, and you remain liable for all credits consumed, including during any grace period.

Data

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell customer API request data or response content, do not use it to train machine-learning models, and do not share it except with subprocessors that help us operate the Services under appropriate safeguards. We retain operational API logs for approximately 30 days, including request metadata and response previews, for support, billing, and reliability, then delete them.

Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Services, our software, branding, and documentation. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your internal business purposes or to power your applications for your end users, in each case as intended. Data returned by the API may be subject to third-party rights; we do not grant you ownership of underlying platform content.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PUBLIC DATA CHANGES FREQUENTLY; WE DO NOT WARRANT ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR AVAILABILITY OF ANY PARTICULAR RECORD.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOCIAL FREAK LTD AND ITS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID US IN GBP FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Social Freak Ltd against claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your products, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk to the Services or others, or legal requirement. You may stop using the Services at any time. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself close your account; pay-as-you-go and refill-pack credits remain available while your account is active. On account termination or closure, unused credits are forfeited unless required otherwise by applicable law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including limitations of liability, indemnity, and intellectual property) will survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms or the Services, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections in your country may still apply where they cannot be waived.
