Requirements
- Developer mode available on your ChatGPT account (usually Plus or Pro; workspace admins can block it)
- A Social Fetch account (100 free credits)

Steps
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
- Go to Plugins (or chatgpt.com/plugins).
- Click the + button and create a developer-mode app.
- Set the name to
Social Fetch, paste the server URL as the MCP server URL, and create the connection. - Sign in to Social Fetch when the browser opens and approve access.
- Start a new chat, open the + menu near the composer, choose Developer mode, and turn Social Fetch on for that conversation — then ask a social question.
When Social Fetch is listed in the ChatGPT Apps directory, this gets even simpler — until then, Developer Mode is the honest path.
