Connect Perplexity to Social Fetch

Add Social Fetch as a custom remote connector in Perplexity Pro, Max, or Enterprise — then ask for live public social data.

Custom connectors need Perplexity Pro, Max, or Enterprise (not Free).

Steps

  1. Open Account Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click + Custom connector, then choose Remote.
  3. Set Name to Social Fetch, paste the server URL into MCP Server URL, set authentication to OAuth 2.0, leave transport on the default, accept the risk acknowledgement, and click Add.
  4. Open the connector card and finish Social Fetch sign-in.
  5. In a thread, enable the connector under Sources, then ask for a public profile or search lookup.

Troubleshooting

  • No Custom connector: Confirm you're on Pro, Max, or Enterprise.
  • Tools not showing: Finish OAuth, then enable the connector under Sources for that thread.
  • 401: Reconnect the connector and approve Social Fetch again.
  • Huge tool list: Scope the catalog with ?preset=starter — see MCP docs.
