# Snapchat Spotlight API

Resolve a Snapchat Spotlight URL to the caption, video and thumbnail URLs, duration, author, sound, hashtags, and engagement metrics.

`GET /v1/snapchat/spotlights` takes a required `url` query param: a public Spotlight link in the `snapchat.com/spotlight/{id}` or `snapchat.com/@handle/spotlight/{id}` form. Send `x-api-key` and branch on `data.lookupStatus` before writing rows. On `found`, `data.spotlight` has the caption, `videoUrl`, `thumbnailUrl`, `durationSeconds`, dimensions, `createdAt`, `author`, `sound`, `hashtags`, generated title, description, and keywords, and `metrics` for views, shares, comments, boosts, and recommends.

A profile URL returns `400` and points you at the profile endpoint. Credit pricing appears on this page; `meta.creditsCharged` is the billing source of truth. Comments on the same video are `GET /v1/snapchat/spotlights/comments`.
