# LinkedIn scraper API. People data, never stale.

Profiles, companies, jobs and posts fetched live on every request, so roles and titles match what LinkedIn shows today. No partner program and no member OAuth.

- No LinkedIn login or cookies
- Batch 50 profiles per call
- Companies, jobs, posts and ads

Social Fetch is a LinkedIn scraping API: send a profile, company, job, or post URL and get public LinkedIn data back as JSON. That covers people profiles with headline, experience, and education; company pages with industry, headcount, and posts; job postings and job search; people search; and posts with their comments and reactions.

LinkedIn's official APIs sit behind the Marketing Developer Platform and partner programs, and most useful endpoints need an approved application and member OAuth. Social Fetch needs neither, and there are no LinkedIn scrapers or proxy pools for you to build and keep running.

Lookups read the public page at request time (a few routes reuse a short, documented freshness window), and responses use the same envelope as every other Social Fetch platform. One API key covers all 25 platforms. You pay per lookup in credits, starting with 100 free and no credit card.

## What you can get

- Person profile lookup by handle or `entityId` (`GET /v2/linkedin/profiles`) — headline, location, experience, education, follower and connection metrics. Batch up to 50 profile URLs on `/v2/linkedin/profiles/batch`.
- Company page lookup by vanity slug (`/company/{slug}`) — description, industry, headquarters, employee range, and funding when public.
- Organization pages (`GET /v2/linkedin/organizations`) by slug or numeric id. Schools and company pages share the same v2 family.
- Person feed (`GET /v2/linkedin/people/{entityId}/posts`) after you have the person `entityId`.
- Company feed pagination (`GET /v1/linkedin/companies/posts`) walked with a 1-based `page` param up to 7.
- Job posting lookup by numeric `jobId` or `/jobs/view/…` URL batch, plus `GET /v2/linkedin/jobs/search` by keyword.
- People search by keyword (`GET /v2/linkedin/people/search`) for prospecting-style discovery.
- Single post or article lookup by permalink, keyword post search with cursor pagination, and post-video transcripts.
- LinkedIn Ad Library lookup by ad id/URL and search by company, keyword, or companyId with country and date filters.

## How to start

1. **Create an API key.** Sign up at Social Fetch and copy a key (`sfk_…`). New accounts get 100 free credits — enough to pull one company page, one profile, and a small jobs search against live data.
2. **Call a LinkedIn route.** Start with `GET /v2/linkedin/profiles?handle=…` for a person, or `GET /v2/linkedin/organizations?slug=…` for a company. Send `x-api-key` on every request. Use the playground for one-off checks; use the TypeScript SDK or curl in production jobs.
3. **Read the shared envelope.** Branch on `data.lookupStatus` (or each row's `lookupStatus` on batch routes) before you upsert. Log `meta.requestId` for support on failed rows. Bill against `meta.creditsCharged` — that field is the source of truth for what the call cost.

## Pricing

LinkedIn credit pricing varies by operation. Profile and job batches charge 3 and 3 credits per completed URL. Organization batches run a 3-credit resolver and a 6-credit core lookup after resolution (up to 9 per completed URL; a resolver miss costs 3). People search is 3 credits per completed page. Most other v2 LinkedIn routes are 3 credits per completed lookup (job search is 6; a single organization is 6 by id or 9 by slug). Company page, single post, and keyword post search stay 1 credit. Live routes can use a documented freshness window, and cache hits still charge the published price. Always trust `meta.creditsCharged`.

## Compared with the official API

LinkedIn official APIs sit behind the Marketing Developer Platform and partner programs — most useful endpoints require an approved partner application and member OAuth. Social Fetch looks up public profile, company, job, and post pages with a Social Fetch API key only — no partner application, no member OAuth.

## FAQ

### Is there a LinkedIn scraping API that doesn't need partner access?

Yes. Social Fetch is a LinkedIn scraping API: its routes read public profile, company, job, and post pages over REST. You authenticate with a Social Fetch API key, not an approved LinkedIn Marketing Developer Platform application or member OAuth consent, and we run and maintain the scrapers.

### How is this different from running my own LinkedIn scraper?

A self-built LinkedIn scraper means proxy pools, request handling, and parser fixes every time LinkedIn changes its pages. With the API that's our job: you send a URL or search term, get JSON in the same envelope as every other platform, and pay per completed lookup.

### How do I fetch a LinkedIn company page?

Call `GET /v2/linkedin/organizations` with `slug` or `id`. For many `/company/…` URLs use `GET /v2/linkedin/organizations/batch`. Branch on `data.lookupStatus` and read `data.organization` when public. `GET /v1/linkedin/companies` still accepts a public company URL or slug.

### How do I scrape a LinkedIn person profile with the API?

Call `GET /v2/linkedin/profiles` with `handle` or `entityId`. For many `/in/…` URLs use `GET /v2/linkedin/profiles/batch`. Branch on `data.lookupStatus` and read `data.profile` (or each batch row) for headline, location, experience, education, and connection metrics when public.

### Do you support LinkedIn people search?

Yes. `GET /v2/linkedin/people/search` takes `keyword` and returns one page of candidate people. It costs 3 credits per completed page, including an empty page.

### Can I search LinkedIn jobs?

Yes. `GET /v2/linkedin/jobs/search` takes `keyword` plus optional filters. Once you have a posting, `GET /v2/linkedin/jobs/{jobId}` fetches it, or batch `/jobs/view/…` URLs on `GET /v2/linkedin/jobs/batch`.

### How much does the LinkedIn API cost?

It depends on the operation. Profile and job batches cost 3 and 3 credits per completed URL; organizations cost 3 credits on a resolver miss or up to 9 after resolution and core lookup; people search is 3 credits per completed page; job search is 6 credits. Confirm every call with `meta.creditsCharged`.

### LinkedIn's official API vs Social Fetch — what's the difference?

LinkedIn Marketing Developer Platform requires an approved application and member OAuth for certified integrations. Social Fetch is public-data lookup: URL or search term in, JSON out, one Social Fetch key.

### Can I get LinkedIn post transcripts?

Yes, for post video. `GET /v1/linkedin/posts/transcript` returns a non-empty string in `data.transcript` when `lookupStatus` is `found`; when speech is unavailable, it returns `not_found` with `transcript: null` and charges 0 credits. Videos beyond the supported length return HTTP 400 instead.

### Does Social Fetch cover the LinkedIn Ad Library?

Yes. `GET /v1/linkedin/ad-library/ads` resolves one ad by `adId` or detail URL. `GET /v1/linkedin/ad-library/ads/search` finds ads by `company`, `keyword`, or `companyId`, with `countries` and date-range filters and cursor pagination through `data.page.nextCursor`.

### Is scraping public LinkedIn data legal?

Social Fetch returns publicly visible data — pages that don't require logging in to view. You are responsible for how you use it under LinkedIn's terms, applicable law, and your own compliance review. We do not give legal advice.
