# Instagram media likers API

List the accounts that liked a post or Reel, by shortcode, post URL or numeric media id.

`GET /v2/instagram/media/{media}/likers` takes a shortcode, a post or Reel URL, or a numeric media id. It returns the accounts that liked the post: all of them on a post with few likes, and a sample of about 1,000 to 2,000 on a larger one. Read `data.lookupStatus` first (`found` or `not_found`), then `data.accounts`. Each account is the same profile summary every v2 endpoint uses: `id`, `handle`, `displayName`, `avatarUrl`, `verified` and `privateAccount`, always present and `null` when Instagram doesn't say.

There are no pages: `data.page.hasMore` is always false, and a `cursor` is a `400 bad_request`. A lookup costs 1 credit, found or not, so read `meta.creditsCharged`. A post that doesn't exist or was deleted is `not_found` with an empty `accounts` list. Likes on a private account's post are never returned. `meta.version` is `v2`.

## FAQ

### How do I get the accounts that liked an Instagram post?

Call `GET /v2/instagram/media/{media}/likers` with your Social Fetch API key (`x-api-key`) and a shortcode, post or Reel URL, or numeric media id in the path. Read `data.lookupStatus`, then `data.accounts`. See the API docs for parameters and examples.

### How much does the Instagram likers API cost?

Pricing is documented on the operation in the API registry (shown on this page). Confirm on every response with meta.creditsCharged — that field is the billing source of truth.

### Does it return every account that liked the post?

On a post with few likes, yes. On a larger post Instagram only exposes a sample, so `data.accounts` holds about 1,000 to 2,000 of the accounts that liked it.

### Can I page through the likes?

No. This route returns one sample with no cursor: `data.page.hasMore` is always false, and a `cursor` is a `400 bad_request`.

### What can I pass as the media identifier?

A shortcode (`DePzV26vLFB`), a post or Reel URL (URL-encode it in the path), or the numeric media id. They all find the same post. Share links aren't accepted: open one and pass the post URL it opens.

### What does not_found mean?

The post doesn't exist or was deleted. The response is a normal `200` with an empty `accounts` list, billed as one lookup. A post with no likes is `found` with an empty list.

### Do I need Instagram Graph API access to read likers?

No. Social Fetch returns the likers Instagram shows publicly, for any public post. Meta's Instagram Graph API is for accounts you manage or that grant your app access.
