# Fandom Discussion Thread API

One Fandom forum thread with its replies, paged as deep as the thread goes.

`GET /v1/fandom/wikis/{wiki}/discussions/{threadId}` returns the thread (title, forum, author, opening post, reply count, tagged articles) and a page of `replies`. The thread id is the number in a thread URL such as `/f/p/4400000000000172709`.

By default replies come newest first and page all the way back with `page.nextCursor` (up to 100 per page). `sort=oldest` returns the first replies only. Unknown ids return `lookupStatus: not_found`.

## FAQ

### How do I name the wiki?

Use the subdomain: fortnite for fortnite.fandom.com, blox-fruits for blox-fruits.fandom.com. A full wiki URL also works. Add lang=de (or another code) for a language edition.

### How many credits does it cost?

Pricing is documented on the operation in the API registry (shown on this page). Confirm on every response with meta.creditsCharged — that field is the billing source of truth. Each paginated page is a separate billed request.

### What does lookupStatus mean?

found means the thread was returned. not_found means the wiki or thread doesn't exist. HTTP 200 only means the request finished, so always branch on lookupStatus.

### Where do I find the thread id?

It's the number in the thread's URL (fortnite.fandom.com/f/p/<id>), and the id field in the Discussions and activity responses.
