# Can I look up a Reddit post by URL?

Yes. GET /v1/reddit/posts takes a public post permalink or share URL and returns data.post — title, text, author, subreddit, score, commentCount, createdAt, and flags. Use GET /v1/reddit/posts/comments when you need the comment tree, not just the post.
